The new Library Building is a three-level building design, which includes classrooms on two levels, is centrally located on the Mesa Verde High School campus and anchors the open end of the existing quad. The new building is integrated into an existing embankment, allowing access from multiple levels. The massing of the new building is reflective of the forms and heights of the existing campus buildings.
Embracing LEED® and CHPS design principles, the design particularly emphasizes vibration isolation, noise abatement and the introduction of day lighting into the library and classrooms.
